Perhaps Colorado could tighten up their gun control laws a little bit.

Americans love their weapons. We have about two or three hundred million guns and about one hundred million gun owners. I'm not one of those people by the way.

With guns so easy to obtain, legally or illegally, we have to deal with the occasional wacko who for example takes Batman movies a bit too seriously. Our massacres are so frequent it's almost become boring to read about it.

Our flags are now at half mast until sunset July 25, 2012. Some people think our president ordered our flags to be at half mast for political reasons during an election year but I looked it up, this is a normal procedure for when this many people are murdered at the same time.

People from civilized countries might think we Americans are bit nuts to have so many weapons, and they're right. The gun business here is out of control and politicians are afraid of upsetting millions of gun owners with better gun control laws. It has something to do with the 2nd Amendment of our Bill of Rights.

Too bad about those people who thought they were going to enjoy a movie but had to deal with an insane asshole instead. Unfortunately it will happen again. Gun control laws can be improved but that won't stop our idiots from getting their 15 minutes of fame.

Since this is the United States of Jeebus, they had to stick the Lord into this:

As a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on July 20, 2012, in Aurora, Colorado, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, July 25, 2012. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of July, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-seventh.
